The Home Sweet Hope Breakfast is a fundraising breakfast that brings together community members, business leaders, and supporters to learn about the growing need for family housing stability in the Lower Cape Fear region and how they can make a meaningful impact. As Family Promise of Lower Cape Fear celebrates 30 years of service, attendees will enjoy breakfast, hear inspiring stories of resilience and transformation, and see firsthand how community support helps local families move from crisis to stability. Proceeds from the event provide shelter, meals, case management, and pathways to permanent housing for families experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

Tuesday, December 1, 2026 from 7:30–9:00 a.m. at First Baptist Activity Center.

Business casual attire is appropriate.

Our goal is to raise $54,000 to support Family Promise of the Lower Cape Fear's initiatives that help families experiencing a housing crisis secure safe housing and build long-term stability for their children.

Home Sweet Hope is not a ticketed event. Attendance is made possible through our sponsors and table captains. However, it is our biggest fundraiser event, and everyone will be asked to consider making a charitable contribution on the day of the event to support our mission. There are no minimum or maximum gift requirements. Our recommended minimum donation is $100.

The program includes:7:30am-8:00am: Guest Arrival, Check-in and Breakfast8:00am-9:00am: Opening remarks, stories of hope and transformation, an overview of Family Promise's impact, and invitation to support the mission financially

Yes, although most guests attend as part of a hosted table. Individuals interested in attending are welcome to contact Family Promise for seating.

Yes. We ask every Table Captain, board member, and committee member to make a personally meaningful gift as a demonstration of leadership.Guests will also have the opportunity to make a gift during the event.
