Family Promise of the Lower Cape Fear is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families experiencing homelessness and housing instability, including survivors of domestic violence, as they work toward safe, stable housing and lasting independence. For 30 years, we have partnered with families, volunteers, businesses, faith communities, and local organizations to address the unique challenges families face when they lose their housing.

We believe that every family deserves the opportunity to remain together in a safe environment while receiving the support needed to rebuild their lives. As the only organization in the Lower Cape Fear region focused exclusively on serving families experiencing homelessness, we provide a critical resource for parents and children who often face significant barriers to finding shelter and stability.
Through our emergency shelter, individualized case management, eviction prevention assistance, and community partnerships, we help families overcome obstacles, achieve their goals, and move toward long-term housing stability. Our apartment-style shelter allows families to maintain dignity, privacy, and independence while receiving the guidance and resources needed to create a stronger future.
